Nothing plans to launch its first AI-native hardware product in December, founder and CEO Carl Pei said on November 4. Pei described the forthcoming device as a productivity tool without a screen, adding that its functions could not have been delivered through an app alone.

In an essay titled “Toolmakers,” Pei argued that AI tools lack much of the context surrounding people’s work, including conversations and ideas that users do not manually enter into a chatbot. He suggested that everyday hardware could help close that gap. Nothing has not disclosed the device’s precise form, specifications or price. [Gizbot]
