Sixth Meeting of the Hong Kong Fintech Project Executive Coordination Group: Fintech Week 2026 to Be Held from November 2 to 6
TechFlow reports that on October 28, according to a press release from the HKSAR Government, Mr. Xu Zhengyu, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, chaired the sixth meeting of the Fintech Project Implementation Steering Committee to exchange views on various aspects of fintech, including the proposed regulatory framework for virtual asset trading, custody, advisory, and management services. The HKMA also reported on the Ensemble project and the quantum readiness of the Hong Kong banking sector.Additionally, Hong Kong Fintech Week 2026 will be co-hosted with the StartmeupHK Startup Festival from November 2 to 6 under the theme "Fintech Hub Connecting the World, Building the Future Together", with its main forum held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 2-3.
