Tencent says upcoming Hy4 and Hy4 flash models will support visual understanding

Tencent plans to release Hy4 and Hy4 flash soon, adding visual understanding to its AI model lineup, senior executive vice president Dowson Tong said at the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference on October 29.

Compared with the Hy4 preview released in August, the full Hy4 model will improve performance on tasks requiring sustained reasoning and execution, including real-world productivity workflows. Tencent also aims to improve reasoning efficiency. Hy4 flash will focus on cost efficiency while retaining visual understanding and AI agent capabilities.
