OpenAI Announces Certain ChatGPT Features Will Share a Quota With Codex

TechFlow reports, on November 1, OpenAI announced that starting in December, usage allowances for the ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business plans will be shared between ChatGPT and Codex. OpenAI is integrating the agent capabilities of Work into the main ChatGPT interface. Usage is measured in tokens, with consumption depending on the model and task complexity, as complex tasks consume more; Instant chat does not draw from this shared quota. OpenAI anticipates that most users will not wait for quota resets more frequently than they currently do.
